So I have 4a hair, and when I get cornrows done, my hair sometimes curls. Does anyone know why and what to do to avoid that?
You can stretch it out on low heat with a hair dryer. I’d suggest heat less methods like banding, but that would give the stretched look a weird shape

Do you mean I can stretch it out even after braiding? And what is banding?
